PAIR OF 19th CENTURY FRENCH ENTRE-FENETRE TAPESTRIES. Pair of 19th century French Antique Tapestries measuring 9 feet 8" in height by approximately 4 feet in width. (One measuring 48" wide, the other 49.25 "). The simple, yet very lovely pattern is composed of harmonious, sinuous |

vines surrounding a cascade of flowers. The background is beige, the vines are muted brown, pale gold and pale green. The flowers are beautifully colored in shades of berry-red, rose and peach. Soft wedgewood-blue bows and ribbons float throughout. With a few small holes near the edges and very small areas of age appropriate wear, the overall condition is very good.
These images show the tapestries hanging in our showroom. The vibrant splashes of rose and berry- red provide a beautiful backdrop to our French antique Bronzes. |

OF A YOUNG GENTLEMAN
SIGNED LE BRUN

This lovely French terra cotta bust measures 17.5 inches in height by 10.5 inches in width. There are a few minor repairs to the base, which we are having restored in a manner that is both aesthetically pleasing and maintains the historic integrity of the piece.
Wonderful on the mantel or resting upon ones special desk set aside just for writing poetry.

Charming white marble clock with arched top, surmounted by a pair of ormolu doves. Other beautiful gilded bronze details include wreath swags, garlands, torches, ribbons and cherubs.Hand painted enamel dial with flowers, numerals and ornate hands. Key wind brass works marked "Made in France". Dial has remains of Tiffany & Co. London. Some surface wear to marble and glass cover is missing from dial...Very lovely

TURN OF THE CENTURY FRENCH BRONZE JEWEL BOXES.
Crowned with hand painted porcelain plaques and lined in their original velvet. Beautiful bronze detailing on lid and sides. The larger of the three measures, 4 ¾” X 3 ¾ “. The smaller oval measures, 3 ¼” X 2 ½”, and the round one measures 3 inches in diameter.
The jewel box on the lower right is SOLD. |

EARLY 20th CENTURY FRENCH BRONZE AUTOMATON, BIRDCAGE.
The beak is missing but the mechanism still works! Bird makes sweet chirping sounds when wound. The bronze garland detailing surrounding the base is quite lovely. It measures 12” x 6”.

PAIR OF EARLY 1900's FRENCH TAPESTRIES, IN THE MANNER OF BOUCHER. Measuring 6 1/2 feet tall by 4 1/2 feet wide.
With their story-telling quality, these very lovely tapestries depict romantic scenes of Nymphs and cherubs set within a scrolled border, sumptuously filled with flora. Images of ribbons, musical instruments, doves and arrows, create scenes filled with movement and life. Colors are soft and muted, pale pinks, peach, beige and light browns. Stamped on verso- Made In France. These were professionally lined by an antique tapestry restorer and are ready to be hung. The second of the pair had very minor restoration. Individually these are quite beautiful, together they are breathtaking. |

A fine selection of ANTIQUE PILLOWS, made by a professional tapestry restorer, utilizing 18th and 19th century tapestries, silks and trims have been made available to Thursday's Antiques. The first of these items is listed below: |

THREE PAIRS OF PILLOWS MADE FROM ANTIQUE CHINESE SILK EMBROIDERY.
Each set has a slightly different trim and measures approximately 13" x 22". The Chinese silk embroidery comes from the Zhuang ethnic group from Guangxv province. The silk was used as a blanket and is 115-130 yrs old. One pair is featured, other images available upon request.
